ABOUT ME

Plastics do not decompose in the same way or at the same rate as organic material. Since plastics are very slow to degrade, if they do at all, they can persist 50-1000 years in a landfill, and their breakdown process may contribute to pollutants in soil and water.

Research shows that up to 90% of the plastic used in Hong Kong ( with approx. 21% are plastic of 16,096 tons per day, of total 5.87 million tons of disposals waste in Year 2018 ) *, where they stays for hundreds of years ! In these plastic there are around 400 millions pieces of plastic were belongs to disposals cutlery from Fast Food Restaurants, as the statistics figures in Year 2007-2009 *. What can we do about these plastic waste ?

About
  • Using less disposable material.

Very inconvenience in some cases, if there are no plastic products & packaging using in the daily life.

  • Recycling

This is a very good and help saving the resources in our planet. But all these cycling process will recreate more un-economics, un-environmental friendly to the other areas, such as :

Extra delivery & transportation for collecting these plastic from recycling bin in each urban suburb, which creates more fuel consumption and air pollution from trucks.

All plastic bottles, containers are bulky and difficult to compress, before delivering / arrival in cycling station. ( No compressing machine, except cycling collecting station ).

Extra water consumption to clean all those plastic bottles, containers, prior disposable in recycling bin. All these discharged water will then created extra works to DSD ( Drainage Services Department ), and waste water treatment to sewage plant station. All these process are required a lot of extra energy & manpower to purify the waste water, prior discharge to sea.

Is your company doing all, it can to help reduce the growing problem of global plastic pollution ?
EBA developed an additive to help businesses lessen their plastic product’s impact on the environment. EBA is an organic additive that accelerates the biodegradation process of plastic products and packaging in a biologically active landfill and enhances the environmental sustainability of these products in their end-of-life.

Why EBA ?

There are many reasons why EBA is one of the best choice for environmentally conscious businesses looking to improve the end-of-life impact of their plastic products:

  • EBA results in rapid acceleration of the biodegradation process when compared to equivalent, untreated plastic materials. Treated plastics take a fraction of the many years traditional plastics can take to biodegrade (according to ASTM D5511 test results ).

  • EBA breaks own biodegradable plastic into inert biomass, methane and carbon dioxide.

  • Plastic treated with have an identical shelf life as plastic products without EBA. EBA bonds to the molecular structure of the plastic without altering the plastic’s positive attributes. Biodegradation does not begin until the product is thrown away in a microbe-rich landfill environment.

  • EBA does not affect quality, strength or other physical properties. The shelf life of the plastic with the additive is exactly the same as those without the addition of EBA.

  • EBA does not negatively affect the manufacturing process or the physical properties of the plastic application.

  • EBA is available in forms specific for use in HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PET, PETG, PP, EVA. Most of the household or industrial plastic goods can benefit from this additive.
